As a Catering Manager, you’ll be at the heart of planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of group functions—from corporate meetings and government events to weddings and social gatherings. This client-facing role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, guest-first mindset.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned group events, including food and beverage, function space, A/V needs, and golf activities
  • Utilize the resort’s sales system to manage bookings, client communications, updates, and final details
  • Coordinate pre-event planning and ensure all client contracts and documentation are completed and accurate
  • Conduct site visits, tastings, and planning meetings with clients to ensure every detail exceeds expectations
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Banquets, F&B, Golf, Culinary, Sales, etc.) to ensure flawless execution
  • Oversee on-site execution of events, verify setup, assist during service as needed, and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Follow up post-event to evaluate success and maintain strong client relationships
  • Prospect and generate new business opportunities based on assigned market segments
  • Maintain organized records, timely reporting, and accurate tracking of client interactions
  • Cold calling central businesses and companies to grow connections and events
  • Handle Outside Catering, involving traveling as needed

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • 1–3 years of experience in catering, event planning, hospitality, or customer service (hotel experience a plus)
  • Experience with prospecting and lead generation who can proactively identify and pursue new catering opportunities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple events at once
  • Working knowledge of event spaces, A/V needs, and food and beverage offerings
  • Proficiency in computer systems; ability to learn event management software
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to travel overnight, if required
