Required skills and qualifications:

  • Sales skills: Proven ability to build rapport, actively listen, overcome objections, and close deals.
  • Technical knowledge: Understanding of roofing systems, installation methods, local building codes, and potential roofing issues.
  • Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication to clearly explain technical concepts to customers.
  • Physical ability: Comfortable climbing ladders and accessing 1-2 story roofs to conduct inspections.
  • Customer service focus: Commitment to providing excellent customer service throughout the sales cycle.

Key responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Lead generation: Actively seeking new clients through cold calling, marketing campaigns, referrals, and canvassing neighborhoods.
  • Customer consultations: Meeting with potential clients to understand their roofing concerns, assess existing roof conditions, and identify potential damage, and present options to clients.
  • Roof inspections: Performing thorough roof inspections to identify issues like leaks, damaged shingles, or structural problems.
  • Product knowledge: Staying updated on various roofing materials (asphalt shingles, metal panels, tile), their benefits, and limitations to provide informed recommendations.
  • Estimate preparation: Creating detailed and accurate roofing estimates including material costs, labor, and potential permits.
  • Sales presentations: Presenting comprehensive proposals to clients, highlighting the value proposition of chosen roofing solutions.
  • Negotiation: Negotiating contract terms and pricing with customers to reach a mutually agreeable agreement.
  • Closing sales: Effectively closing deals by addressing customer concerns and securing signed contracts.
  • Customer relationship management: Maintaining ongoing communication with clients throughout the sales process and post-installation to ensure satisfaction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
